MEET THE ARTISTS

Jade Meyers began her art journey as a toddler, by age 7 she made the decision to become an artist. She was evaluated for the Talented in Visual Arts (TAV) program at John Dibert Elementary School in New Orleans. After being accepted into TAV, her parents continued to support opportunities of advancement. Jade went on to receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the fall of 2013 from Southern University and A&M College and created an art-based company; “J A D E 1 9 9 1” shortly after graduating. In 2016 she was selected to design a mural for Chevrolet, for the ESSENCE Street Style Block Party in New York. Jade curated her first exhibition “Next Generation of FIYAH!” in 2017 at Southern University. She premiered her solo exhibit “CWYC | Control What You Consume” in 2018. Jade was one of the selected artists to recreate salvaged basketball backboards for the 2021 “NOLA HAS WIIINGS” project in conjunction with Red Bull, and the NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans. She was also selected to collaborate with Adult Swim and Living Walls to produce a mural in the St. Claude area of New Orleans. Most recently Jade designed her very first NFT on behalf of AT&T for the first tech activation at the 2022 ESSENCE Festival of Culture. Currently, Jade serves as an Art Director and Set Designer on various Television and live event productions. She is continuing the journey of globalizing her brand while pursuing innovation through her artwork and music. Jade recently released her debut ep ' Outside Playin’ through The Blueprint Group – Distribution.”
